Where in the country is the kennel and what is the breed of the dog?
If you have a copy of the report I am assuming it is a Northern Inuit or similar breed, in that case, I would recommend contacting the relevant society and trying to get them struck off as a registered breeder.

I would definately suggest contacting environmental health, if nothing else, hopefully they can point you in the right direction. Also, have you got an RSPCA in your area, they may be able to help as well.

Julie, you failed to mention where in the country it was and what breed it was.
Would be useful for other people on here to know incase they have purchased a puppy from the same breeder

In the likely event that this happens, kennels would normally have isolation measures in place and carry out daily thorough cleaning. I think the vet may have an oblication to report it as it does effect the general public, people using the kennel and dogs in local area.

I would ask the owner who lost the puppy to ask if the vets what they have also done.

If they gsd's are KC reg, suggest an e mail to the kennel club. I would also e mail the local paper, they may make put something in the paper so make people/owners aware.

Julie, arent you the head of the Northern Inuit Society?
Can you not strike them off your books?
Or if not affiliated with NIS, get in contact with the relevant society as you probably will know who they are.

It should be dealt with by the authorities and the breed club....and urge the owners to send the report to officials
