He has been sacked from his team. Good. He should be prosecuted for cruelty to animals - the evidence is on film.

But this did not happen in the UK. I'm pleased by the uproar it caused. Apparently his 3yr old son saw him do it on the TV.

Wow. Just grabbed the poor thing by the neck and flung it into the fencing. Sad. Didn't work anyway as he was too weak to get the dog over the fence.

What a weak and cowardly human being. I would have been happy had the dog gotten angry and bitten the ever lasting crap out of him.

Cruel bleep bleep bleep and I am glad it caused uproar and he was red carded and sacked.
I took a sharp intake of breath on seeing it.

I saw this already. Poor dog. I am glad though that crowd and other players did not react well when he did it. I hope the dog was ok in the end. Stupid idiot!.

I agree with all the comments above. How many on here remember that English football player (Was it Lincoln City) who went into a field and stabbed a horse to death in order to get 'even' with someone he had a dispute with

And the American player (Either baseball or American football) who was running an illegal dog fighting ring, and breeding dogs to fight. Was sacked from his team but I read he is now back in the sport.

But the sporting media are so powerful these types of incidents are quickly covered up and most people forget.
