I dont mean to sound harsh asking but what tests did she have to confirm this? I only ask because I have a pup critically ill with parvo right now who has received blood transfusions and been on a drip since she arrived at the vets.

Your pup should be on a drip as a matter of course with parvo, especially in such a young pup.

Also, I am not sure how long you have had your pup, but the incubation period (between picking it up and showing symptoms) is typically 3- 14 days.

Not harsh at all, I'm not sure what exact test she had, the vet took an anal swab and that was tested - does that sound right? The vet saw here twice today, last time was 6 this eve when she gave her the first dose of these antibiotics (not sure what they were). We're managing to get small amounts of food and water (diralite?) into her. We're going to continue that every two hours through the night. She's due back at the vet's tomorrow afternoon for another check over and the second part of the antibiotics.

Sorry I don't know the exact test or the name of the antibiotic, not at my best at the mo, none of our family are.
