Thinking of you...

Mum's hair hasn't grown back since she has her first lot of Chemo a year ago..she starts another lot on Wednesday..

Hoping you are feeling a little better today Hevvur.

Just to let you all know, Hevvur is back from the hospital, but is tired, so has gone to bed!!

Her appointment was at 9am, but, from what I gather, her chemo hadn't turned up, so they have spent all day there getting it sorted...

I'm sure she'll post an update when she is feeling up to it

Oh poor Hevvur, she could have done without all that

Afternoon all.
Appointment was at 9am, arrived on time, and no one at the reception desk knew I was supposed to be there.........she went to see the nurses, who luckily were expecting me.
By 9:30 we were still sitting in the waiting area.....hadn't even had bloods done.
Mum asked what was going on, and they decided to put me in a room. They said my chemo hadn't arrived yet, and would be there between 10:30 and 10:45.......
it arrived at 12 noon.
I started having it, and had a few reactions, so had to have the drugs given slower, and I slept for about an hour, they made me feel so bad. Another drug made me feel like I had a cold, my nose was blocked.
We left the hospital at 2:45, with a bag full of drugs.
Got home and went straight to bed as I felt so weak.
I got up about 6pm, and have had to take an anti-sickness pill, and already fought away a massive sickness urge
Still feeling weak and shaky, but Steve is cooking tea, and he's got the whole day off tomorrow.

Nurse today said all my hair will fall out.....so not sure if it will or not.....we'll have to see.

Anyway, going off now cos I feel bloody awful!

Sorry to hear you've had such a cr@p day. As if you need all the waiting around, when you've got chemo coming your way You'd think someone would actually do their job and get stuff sorted on time!

You sound as positive as ever!!!! Good on you. Hope you feel much better soon
