Another thought , if there are any dog training clubs up there they might put out a plea for help .
If I knew of someone in a position like you I would gladly help . In fact I did volunteer dog walk for an old lady for over a year until she went into a home .
I was glad to be able to help and I really enjoyed it

That's terrible, she really is an old bat. There must be someway you can get to keep your dogs. Did the homecare people say what the problem is?

Have you thought of contacting your local newspaper???
A nice big headline and all the details spelt out to the entire community should bring some action also I would imagine it will get you some help from people with the dogs until you go back home. How is the MSP going on with the council, maybe another phone call to him?

Have we got any Dogsey members other than you up there who might help out for a while? Shall I start a thread and ask?

That woman has no heart Haven't got any bright ideas for you Snorri, but don't worry just yet, the way things are going you might end up back there youself very soon, spread yourself around using all that special equipment and alterations they have done for YOU, don't let her anywhere near that part of the house, and maybe she'll do the honourable thing and get out and leave you there in peace, with those dogs of course! Grrrrr. Heartless!

Oh I am so sorry Snorri I would gladly feed and walk the dogs for you but unfortunately being a few hundred miles away is no help to you.

Don't give up yet try what others have said something like the Cinammon trust or could someone maybe put the word out for you that you need the help for the dogs or you will lose them. Just don't know what to suggest so sorry.

Excellent idea Rach - I only wish I lived closer or knew someone who did

Brilliant idea Tawneywolf and Snorri I would be emphasising how the dogs have kept you going in troubled times and given you a reason to go out some days etc etc and have shown you unconditional love unlike that, I don'twantto say woman for fear otherwomen will be judged against her benchmark!, excuse for a woman!!

Great post Rach, Snorri please try some of/all of these links and if I can help please just ask. Someone surely would be able to take the doggies till you get bacjk home, what about the obedience lady from Orkney that another Dogsey member knows well - gees I can't remember who it is, will rack my brains.
