Bit late here but I have just joined.

Thing to know about Dobermans and Great Danes is that their bones grow very quickly and this can cause problems. They can get wabblers which is where their back legs, well wabble, and they have difficulty in standing. This is caused by the nerves near the neck being pressed and an operation can help. I have our dog operated on but would NEVER do it again.

One thing that helps is to feed your pub adult food at around 7 or 8 months ( opinions may vary) as this slows down the growth rate and allows bones to develope.

Our current Dobi was started on adult food at 7 months and he is now a cracking 3 year old.

If anyone would like more info I can get it and pass it on.

A mixture of mainly a Raw diet and sometimes when i cant get hold of raw- burns or nature diet - anything that is not tested on animals...unfortunatly not much isnt!

my two are eukunaba, Toran the pup gets the puppy meal and the big one Heskey gets the light version as he has been a bit pudgy since he was neutered.
