Thanks everyone.
Sadly, it was as we suspected. Mo had a tumour at the back of his nasal passages that had become very aggressive, thus his quick decline. His bloods showed he was also going into renal failure and his liver was moderately damaged.
I spoke to the vet when Mo was sitll under GA and we decided to let him slip away whilst still under.

My furball has gone to the bridge and I am devestated as is my son and OH. The one good thing is that we took him on holiday with us on the boat only 2 or 3 weeks ago and he had the best of times and you would never, ever have known that this would be happening so soon afterwards.

It is testament to him, his character and his temperament that only 3 weeks ago he came second in the waggiest dog competition at Dogs Trust.

Thanks for all of your support. You guys are amazing.

Run free Mo. xxxxxxxxxx

I'm so sorry A, but at least he passed without pain or discomfort.

Thanks Lynn and Corrie. WE had the option of bringing him round, but he could have bled to death at any point, so it wasn't an option really was it faced with how he's been this week and his blood results and x rays results..

I'm so sorry alisa, he lived life to the full, please try and told on to the memory of the holiday and his waggy tail.
It will help you through it all, you did the right thing for him who knows how long he would have had left, the fact is he would have got worse not better, poor lad.
You have been incredibly brave today, you faced your fears for mo's sake, and thought of him.
I just wish it had been better news for you all.

Keep wagging your tail mo, enjoy life once more.
