Have had close enough contact with problems of this sort with my late, youngest brother. When clean and sober he was a lovely man, truly a gentle giant. Bailed him out time and again over the years. Died at the age of 46, had a huge heart attack when drunk and full of drugs. A shame, yes, but most of all a terrible waste.

My ex died as well, just over 50 he was. Saddest sight was my youngest son carrying his dads coffin with his cousins, and the the eulogy he wrote and delivered so wonderfully and factually, Not a dry eye in the place.

Thanks Eileen - but as I said in an earlier post, it's up to the individual. Truly think that he just didn't see the point of going on. Didn't mean to put a damper on proceedings. He must have been on my mind, it would have been his birthday tomorrow.

Sorry about your ex too TW Way to young,must have been devastating.Such a waste,really isn't it?
