Yes I have never said positive punishment dosent work
You said positive reward dosent work on all dogs - I was making the point that it does
Of course punishment works - it works to supress behaviour, all behaviour
and unfortunatly people seeing dogs not doing things and think of them as good dogs - not pulling, not barking, not chasing sheep
But WHY is the dog not doing these things??
Not because you are a leader but because they are avoiding punishment
I am glad you are managing to train many dogs with positive training, and that you are flexable
- but I 100% beleive that there is NO dog who needs to be trained by being punished (positive punishment), just trainers who dont have enough imagination to figure out different positive methods
