Hi guys sorry not been on for a few days I've been Bert proofing the house he is being a nightmare at staying still I've got baby gates everywhere lol I've ordered his new splint so hopefully he will be comfier when he has that fitted any ideas on how to burn his energy. My dad looks after him while I am at work and Bert is used to going out twice a day over the fields off lead running my dad does a 5 mile walk twice daily with them so he is used to being very active

The weight will be walking off you with all that dog proofing
Bless him Hopefully when he gets the new yoke his leg will be better supported and he may be able to get around a bit better.

It must be a nightmare trying to get an active dog to rest!
Would stuffed kongs occupy him for a bit? Or anything to chew, I suppose. Trouble is, a dog can't settle down with a good book or watch the telly!

Hi do you think he has been stung, when my Afghan was stung by a wasp, you should have heard him scream, his front leg did swell up but went straight to the vet who gave him Anti-Histimine excuse spelling, but even a day later he was still tender on that leg,but swelling did go down,One of the other posters could be right it could be a ligement,(known as a footballers injury)but if he seems uncomfortable I would go to the vet, hope he gets well soon, let us know Gemini54

Hi Sorry Im a bit late,it really confuses me when it says today posts I think they are current, also have problems with WFI here its very slow and takes for ever, then as you are reading the thread sorry no wireless connection. But I am glad Bert is OK,a lady I know has a daschound, and it jumps everywhere and hurt its back she had to put it on cage rest and she made a sort of nest,it still wasnt happy, then she put something personal of hers in there.Just keep smiling and concentrate on Bert, everything else will get better, positive vibes Gemini54
