My no list consists of:

Small dogs
Even though there are some I like, the lack of height puts me off.

Excessively squishy faced or wrinkled dogs.
Bulldog's Neo's and the like.

Bearded dogs
Dogs with specialist grooming requirements
Dogs like Saarloos, where there is a good chance of getting an individual who maybe overly shy or nervous.
Dogs that drool a lot.

I would never ever have a staffie or any dog that drools. I would hand on heart say that I would never have had a Bichon but last year I somehow ended up with one, she is such a funny wee dog and has me in hysterics with her antics, the only downside is the fact that she hates men and continually attacks my youngest son, youngest son is moving out at the end of the month .

I guess you really get used to your own breed/s. I love my border collies but a friend looked after one of them and said the constant staring, shadowing and the inability to entertain themselves would drive her crazy. Our Brittany drove me a bit nuts when we first got her because instead of following me around waiting for me to do something with her, she would certainly entertain herself. I'm not used AT ALL to wondering where a dog is and what they are up to and many many things were destroyed. But one learns and adapts
