Thank you all and thank you Inca for posting on my behalf.

The funeral was held thursday gone and despite being a sad time it was a good day and a day my mum would have been happy with as she had her two fave songs from dirty dancing as the music and a manchester city coffin with all her friends and family there, the minister even said to me and my sister its the first service in a long time which was "standing room only".

Phil, really mate, it doesnt. For people wondering what he ment, as a last laugh my mum, being a big man city fan had people attending wearing man city shirts, despite 90+% being Man utd fans.

So pleased to hear everything went well Phill.

I think your mum would have been looking down at you all with half a smile on her face.

Oh Phil, I've only just caught up on your thread. Im so very sorry you lost your dear mum. Im glad the funeral went well, its so hard to say goodbye but knowing your mum even got the last laugh must help put a smile on your face. Cancer is such an evil illness. We lost my dad 3 days after christmas. He'd only been diagnosed a month before so we didnt have much time. But the one thing I know is that he's no longer suffering. Your mum would be so proud of the strength and love you have shown during her illness and we send love to you and all your family at this time. xx

I'm so sorry to hear you've lost your mum. She must have been dead proud of you and I'm very glad that the funeral was exactly as she would have liked it to be.

Big hugs to you and your family.
