She is going to have operation today or tomorrow they have put her on antibotic drips.
As someome said they think its polymetrie (sorry spellings sure to be wrong) infection in her unterus. Go to phone up at 5pm tonight, if they can fit her in will operate today.
First time she had been away from home I bet she cried all night.
At least she is in safe hands. Will update you on her progress.

Pyometra is what most of us feared, when a bitch has been in season the passage up to the uterus is open and bacteria can get in, the condition it is most frequent in older bitches after successive seasons cause thickening of the tissues. It sounds as if you bitch has an 'open' pyometra which is not quite so bad as a closed pyometra which can be harder to detect.
Any bitch that is not quite herself after a season should be observed, other signs can be not eating/drinking more/discharge /panting/high tepmerature but sometimes there are no signs at all until the bitch is really sick.
