The above was worked on in Adobe Elements 14 to create the above

camera Nikon D800
Nikon lens 24-70mm f2.8 G @70mm
shutter 1/1600sec
ISO 500
Aperture f10

Now I have the Nikon D810 without the anti alias low pass filter.which an upgraded camera to the D800.

A good used D800 with a low shutter count now is around £650/£700 mark

yes they are but I don't think you are getting the best out of them as shown below. A little post processing will help you a lot.
Ok I might have over done it a bit as a rough example, but you get the idea

I do understand that. I tend not to enhance images beyond cropping just to keep the subject - well the subject without distracting detritus. And now and again I will paint out parts of the image for example television ariels.

This is all natural colours:



I could "enhance" it but I don't think it would help.
