Just Back From Vets With Lily

This morning Lily started doing this gulping and her throat went rigid with her adams apple going up and down in spasm, which then started her making this awful chokey gagging sound. I gave her an antihistamine in case it was an allergic reaction to something but she continued to get worse. She was very stressed and very clingy, so I phoned the vets and they said bring her straight in.
It turns out its possibly tummy ache as she was very tender in her stomach when examined and the licking everything was her feeling sick but not being sick. The throat spasms was possibly caused my excess acid. So she has had a anti- sickness drug and a vetergesic injection to try and calm things down.
Kyiro had a bad tummy a couple of days ago and looked uncomfortable but it was this gulping and awful noise Lily was making and the stress she was in that got me off to the vets.
Lets hope everything settles down now as its her Birthday tomorrow and we don't want her ill for that.

She is actually worse now and hasn't settled at all, she is pacing crying panting and dribbling everywhere,
She just doesn't seem to be able to lay down at all.

Lily is in the vets very ill. My vet is adamant it is not the vetergesic injection and said she may give her another one later.
I have just researched it and spoken to some experienced greyhound people who said greyhounds must never have vetergesic, so I have just phoned the vets and told them to give her no more.
I am just hoping she will be ok as it has caused deaths in some greyhounds, I really am worried sick.
