Ex breeding dogs..

I know what some people think about rescues taking on ex breeding dogs but when I see 14 little yorkies all in need of looking after ,I am glad they do...

Every dog needs a home - it's not their fault what they were used for, or the lack of respect they are shown, despite the fact that they have given some human a lot of money, love and made them their world..

For those who take an exbreeding dog from the breeder is as guilty as the breeder.

Please check out the thread....Puppy Farms.

I think you should explain yourself a little more clearly it may come across that you are having a go at rescues that take on on exbreeding dogs from puppy farms - which I am sure is not the case

look at it this way, at least some puppy farms get the ex breeding dogs rehomed,
this is somthing that they dont need to do as some puppy farm owners just shoot any dogs that are no longer breeding

Its a tricky one I think. We discourage prospective dog owners from giving in to the temptation to 'rescue' a puppy farm puppy by buying it, as it just creates a space for a new one.

However there are rescues that provide a convenient dumping ground for the farmers do they don't have to deal with the consequences of their actions. Doesn't this equally just create a space for a new dog and make it easier for the farmers to continue?

What are the laws on destroying dogs? Would it be legal for them to just be shot?
