Rupert, Terrier x, DOB 10.09 - Epsom, Surrey
Rupert, Terrier x, DOB 10.09 - Epsom, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Rupert is a young terrier x who needs a family with another dog who can offer him confidence as he catches up after a poor start. He loves children, cats and tolerates caged small furries.
His Story: Rupert was taken in with his litter brother; they were assumed to be pups. On examination were realized that they were young adult terrier crosses. Excellent with dogs. They were guessed as 'baited dogs' due to their recent injuries, however we are sure they were 'failed' young terriers used for badger baiting who went stray. Rupert has learnt about domesticated life in his foster placement with a young family with 2 young daughters, a young Staffie and 2 cats. Rupert is neutered, vax'd and chipped. He is between 1 and 2 years old.
Advert: Rupert is an easy dog. He had a few deficits in his learning and skills on arrival. He has adjusted in every setting he has been in; adapts and succeeds. He loves dogs and has learnt to be at ease with them outside. He adores people and has again learnt to trust and exchange affection with people of all ages especially 'little people'. Rupert has gained confidence and is now in good health. His past only features as a few little scars, but fortunately no mental scarring.
Rupert is very special and can easily live with dog tolerant cats and would appreciate a life style where he was central to his family and his training needs continue to be met. Rupert is still very young and has zoomed through 'catch up' with his stages of development. Rupert has lost his wariness of new situations and come up trumps, embracing life. He has good boy.
