Sad News - My friends Dad

This is one of these bizzare things I feel I have to post(Oh away to football and Ben doesnt really understand when I tell him!!!) as I have just recieved the very sad news that one of my best friends dad passed away.

He went out to post a letter at 2pm and at 5pm he wasnt back his wife went to look for him and found him dead on the ground at their front door.

My pal is as you can imagine distraught and I don't know what to say or do. Have called her to let her know I am here thats all I can do.

He wasn't even that old. They have to do a post mortem which means they may not be able to put him to rest until after the easter weekend which is sad.

He was such a hard working man who worked all his life to provide for his family, he had a dry sense of humour and a love of the outdoor life.

So sad.

Anyway thanks for listening.

That's awful Lynne. To think he was just outside the door - must be really upsetting.
Hugs to your friend x

That's so awful and such a shock.

A man I know did just the same thing last week. Was popping down the garden with his wife and bang, he went right in front of her, was dead before he hit the ground.
He was only 73, which isn't old really, though he had heart problems years ago.
He had the post mortem and it was a blood clot, ie heart attack.

They only thing that may help in the future is that he probably wouldn't have known a thing about it, no pain, nothing.

So sad. Thinking of you all.

What a terrible shock. At least, as others have said, it seems it was quick. Thinking of them at this time.
