Ashes

We got Harleys ashes back today from the vets, and i just wondered if any of you knew where we could put them. We didnt want to put them in the garden as we might move. We rung a pet cemetary and they dont bury pets anymore they suggested we put them in a big plantpot outside and put a nice plant on top. Has anyone got any suggestions on which plant to use, i'm hopeless with plants.

Some mini rose bushes might be nice, in a big teracotta pot.

No burying ashes for me...
the wide open spaces and the soft winds would be my choice...
my Husbands ashes were scattered on the Malvern Hills...
in the footsteps of Edward Elgar...
looking over to the Black Mountains...
forever free

I have a friend whose Dobe was killed on the road, charging like a fool from one side of the hills to the other. She took his ashes on a windy day to the hilltop and said - Go Denholm, at last you can do what you could never manage in life....go to the four winds at the same time.

I have heard you can get a nice photo frame which you can keep the ashes in. That would be my choice.

I have ours in two caskets, and keep them upstairs in my wardrobe. They will always be with me. When I die I would like there ashes to go with me, it might sound a bit selfish, and it might be, but I want to be with them and I think they would prefer to be with me.

Sorry if it seems odd, it's just the way I feel.

Ian

I kept my last 2 dogs ashes in caskets for 5 years thought I was really stupid but seems that I am not alone in wanting to keep them close then I decided that they always loved the beach so went to their favourite spot and scattered their ashes except for a small amount that was put into the garden and I planted a rose bush thats called forever
