Rhodesian Ridgeback's first season? (would this account for behaviour changes?)

Hi all,

Am a first time ridgy owner... my 11 month old bitch has started to act bizarrely these past few days. She is growling at stuff which she never did before. She is look bemused and has gone off food.

Is she close to coming into her first season do you think?

I need to keep her at home when she is... but how early is that, how will I tell?

it could be her first season pending ..its quite normal for some to go off their food one of mine dose ........i keep walking mine until I see the first drop of blood although some people still walk their dogs in season on lead but personaly I don't
