boosters and the snip

We are off to the vets tomorrow to get the dogs their boosters before they go off on their hols on wednesday, they are going to some lovely kennels in the country who really look after them well and they love going, the man takes them for long runs in the country and takes molly (the lab) for a swim and they have a biiiiig field to run around in. They love it there but i hate sending them i cant bare leaving them even if they are having the time of their lives!

Also we are discussing with the vet about getting Molly done. We have postponned for so long for a few reasons really
1) i guess we secretly hoped we would be able to breed her
2) she has never been well enough

but we now know that the reality is that Molly will never have a litter as it would pass her hereditry problems onto the pups. She is now well enough having suffered minimal allergic reactions this summer and after this last season, i never want to go thru this with her again! What a night mare,

so we are going to get her done and hopefully life will improve. Bit worried about sending my girl under but i know she will be ok and its for the better. Will have to see what our lovely vet thinks and see if he gives her the go ahead.

wish us luck
Frances, Molly and Bo

(p.s my dogs seem about the only ones in the world who are pleased to see the vet ....... then again they are pleased to see anyone!)

Been to the vet and everything is normal, the dogs are healthy and fine.

He did raise a couple of points though

1)Molly is getting a little on the heavy side. She was weighed today at 30kg so she has put on 3kg since we last had her checked about a year ago. She is now going on a diet.

2) Molly is going to be spayed in January.

Bo absolutly hated the vet and kept looking to my mum for a hug, shes settled down now!

Boosters are all present and correct and the dogs are off to the kennels on weds
