what is the diffrence detween Drontal and Drontal plus???

Hi Nat, I have been looking into this for you. The basic Drontal is called Drontal plus and is around £33 pounds from Canine chemist for 20 tablets. The dose is 1 tablet per 10kg body weight.

Drontal plus xl is for larger dogs i.e 1 tablet treats 35kg body weight and is around £50 for 10 tablets

Drontral is only available for puppies (AFAIK) and contains pyrantel embonate and febantel. Covers Roundworms {Ascarids} (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina); Hookworms (Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults)); Whipworms (Trichuris vulpis (adults))

Drontral Plus contains praziquantel, pyrantel embonate and febantel. Covers Roundworms {Ascarids} (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina); Hookworms (Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults)); Whipworms (Trichuris vulpis (adults)); Tapeworms (Echinococcus species, Taenia species, Dipylidium caninum)
