Harvey has just had his yearly booster / check up & prounced healthy & fit. We were complimented on his overall condition especially his pearly white teeth.
Only thing out of place was the Epulis. I have heard of Boxers who had this condition - Vet said he has only ever seen them in Boxers or Boxer crossbreeds.
This is first time we have had a Boxer with one ourselves. The vet said its not causing any problems & his advice is to leave it alone but just keep an eye on it. A decision we are happy to go along with.
Just interested if anyone has ever had a dog with this condition?
Bandit had a couple, Millie had two massive ones which were removed when she had her teeth done.
Leave removing them (if at all) for as long as you can, because they can grow back.
If Harvey has to go under a GA for any reason, maybe get them removed then, if they need to be that is..
Many Boxers suffer with them , they can be a pain, because the tarter will build up underneath them, or they may present no problems at all.
Just keep an eye on them....
