Phobias

Hi
I wonder who else has a phobia and of what? I am phobic about spiders...not just frightened but terrified...I can't even look at photos of them.
A freinds OH has just brought a large spider as a 'pet' and I can no longer wisit their house as I cannot go in despite the spider being in a tank

Nope, don't have any, sorry! I can't understand it as I don't have any, but I do appreciate that it is a very real problem for sufferers.

Used to be absolutely fine with them till I saw one(smallish brown thing) bite a child and draw blood(yes it was in the UK) ...I know my fear is irrational but give me a large snarling dog anyday!!

i have lots of irrational fears!
im scared of insects... generally spiders and any flying ones like daddy long legs and moths oh and butterflies i gotta say im scared of birds, but only when they r flying, lol.
Im scared of flying in a plane, but i went to oz last yr so i will still board them.

most of all im scared of small spaces, im really chlostraphobic, so even if a big shop is really humid and hot, i cant be in it . This also applies to standing in cues when im too hot and sleeping in tents!
im scared of the dark, most nights i still sleep with the light on

I have 2 phobias:

One is water-im terrified when walking over or near deep water since almost drowning in our local river while swimming as a teenager.

The other is enclosed spaces (clausiphobia)*sp?*.
