Vetvits Flexi joints-unopened (seal not broken) would you use?

Hi been going through the cupboards and found 5 packets of unopened vetvits flexi joints- vitamins from puppyhood to adult dogs to improve mobility in later life containing glucosamine HCI- of vegetable origin,Chondroition Sulphate(90%)- of marine origin, brewers yeast, ester c,flavourings, vitamin e preparation, silica, maltodextrin, stearic acid, magnesium sulphate.

best before dates: 10/2011,2/2012,1/2012 would you risk using?

Theres also a packet dated 02/2013 which is ok to use, there very expensive to buy or where just completely forgot about them after our dog died in 2010.she used to take for arthritis alongside vet meds but says can be used from puppy 8weeks to help your dog maintain healthy working joints. company also known as Healthspan there based in Guernsey.

I would not worry about giving them, the worst thing that can happen is that they do not have any effect. There is nothing in them that can "go off" and have toxic effects.

ETA BB dates are not the same as UB dates.

Agree with the above, I often find "stuff" in my cupboards , that may be slightly out of date, dont have a problem using them.

"Best before" simply means optimum quality/condition, with supplements it may mean they're slightly less effective but if they're just a precautionary supplement I'd still be happy to give them

Thanks all yeah just a just a precautionary supplement should i decide to use at any time in near future,is there a time limit past best before you wouldnt risk? Ie: if best before ranging from 2011/2013 would you still be prepared to risk those dated 2011/2012 in 2014/2015 as there is 240 tablets in each packet.max 4 a day for my dogs weight so may still have them in 2 -3 years time.

The only risk IMHO is that the active ingredients may no longer be active and the medium used as the carrier lose its cohesiveness so you are left with powder rather than a tablet.
