Tumble dryer Help

Any recommendations please ?

My last one was a hotpoint, and I wasn't overly impressed with it.

I wasn't going to bother but with winter fast approaching and the amount of washing I get I could do with another one

My last two have been whirlpool, they work well and each one has lasted about 5 years and are relatively cheap and it gets used a lot.

I have an indesit, I find it really good, considering how much I use it

Ditto here. We got a zanussi washing machine and tumbledryer when we moved into our first place in 2003. The washing machine was not impressive and packed up fairly quickly. The tumble dryer has been going strong since 2003 though and we are very pleased with it.

Whenever I am on the lookout for a new appliance, my first port of call is the local library.

I go to the Which Magazines which give you everything you need to know about reliability, pros, cons, breakdowns, cost of service, cost to run, etc etc

And its FREE!

My Zanussi has given me many years of trouble free drying and it's big, I can get loads in it! I would recommend one but it's a condenser not a tumble (although it seems to do the same job), coz apparently when I bought it, I was told they are all condensors now. This means you have to empty a big plastic container of water.

The only thing I don't like about it, is the way it "beeps" at me when it's finished, on and on it goes until I attend to it and I don't like being told what to do lol!

My mum swears by Zanussi. I have an Indesit which is about 10 years old and survived being in storage for 4 years.

Just hope my mums doesn't break if that's the case! Neither her or my dad would be able to do that! And I'd have to lug mine up 2 flights of stairs to empty it.

They still sell vented tumble dryers and they're usually cheaper to buy and dry clothes quicker.
