Using your tongue as a clicker ?

Why do you need a clicker when you can click with your tongue ??
Does the sound need to be perfect every time for it to work ?

It needs to be consistent, and all I will say is have you tried it at the frequency used for beginners when training?

You will end up with a paralysed tongue.

Mind you it would probably prove an interesting test case for occupational health, a WRULD (work related upper limb disorder) and RSI (repetitive strain injury).

Personally why wear yourself out when there is a tool for the purpose?

Remember, it is only the tools that you plug into the mains that you have to be wary of..........

You can use a toungue click, or a clicker word
The only problem I find is its to easy to use it if you dont mean it
Like if I pick the clicker up I know I am training, I make sure I have treats with me
but if you are out and about without rewards and your dog does something amazingly good it is too easy to 'click' them
(and mine only work for treats, couldnt get them to understand the click could mean toy too - that was my mistake in the begining)

Where do you press your tongue for the click to occur?
