Heartbreak as authorities lose seized dog. Please crosspost.

A Hertfordshire family have been left devastated after police seized their much loved family pet …and then lost her.

Poor dog and the poor family. What a disgraceful situation, the police should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

Just read elsewhere that the police contacted the owners to say there was a possible sighting on Wednesday, but the police found nothing when they got there. They won't tell the owners where the sighting was so they have no way of searching.

This is absolute maddness. It is an outrage.

What a horrible situation, both for the dog and the family left at home.

And looking at the picture of her (assuming it is her), she's no more a pit bull type than I am!

Also, from my own experiences with the police (both as a civilian needing their help and previously as an officer), them stating they have officers out looking for her is b****ks!

I hope she's chipped and found by someone who returns her straight home.

We'll definitely be sending furry hugs and prayers their way.
