Chicken drumsticks? (legs)

Does anyone feed these whole?

My mother tells me there is a very sharp bone in the middle of the leg that could get stuck in the dogs throats, so I have never fed the legs whole but mince them instead, however it's a bit of a pain and I have seen pictures of dogs on the net eating them whole.

I'm still to try them yet with ours too!....wings fine...but the bones in drumsticks just seem so much tougher..

They eat pork ribs raw, so they can't be worse than them, think it's the length of the bone that worries me too.

I know the bone you mean and it is sharp........

Personally, I would stick to wings or thighs

Yep we have, with no problems. Ours are good at breaking down the bone before swallowing it. Some of ours are only little cresteds and have always managed fine.

This is the one thing my lot struggled with, they eat wings/ribs/oxtail/necks all fine, but not drumsticks...

My boy has them (but usually thighs and more recently wings again) and i actually take the 'spikey' bit out but leave the main bone. if he has a quarter i will take the main bone out as well. (my meat to bone ratio logic )

I dont normally feed them as I get carcasses free (therefore never buy chicken) but I have in the past when I had to purchase all their meat and never had a problem with them. As the drumsticks are fairly small my lot simply crush them in one go.
