Dog always hungry

Hi everyone, My 2 year old yourkie has always been a picky eater, now all of a sudden she is always starving!! She wakes me up early in the morning to feed her, then wolfs down the food like crazy, should I be worried?

In most cases of a sudden change like that, I would see the vet. Some dogs are like that all the time and it is nothing to worry about. Be careful about feedign more, she could become overweight.

With any major change in behaviour an appointment with the vet would be the best thing to do hun

Hi Kathryn welcome to Dogsey. There are a couple of medical of conditions which can cause a dog to be very hungry so you really should get your dog checked out by a vet ASAP .
Also as Jen suggest it is a good idea to make sure worming is up to date, the vet will be able to prescribe for that too.

Has she been in boarding kennels recently?

Our male who was never really bothered about food became a food monster when he cam out of kennels for a good month or two!

Yes, go to vet, could be several things and not worth specualting or worrying you.

What is it like when it comes out the other end? Is there any dire rear or vomitting? Or just more appetite?
