I got a leacture on Irish dogs

The other day a little girl was asking me if Ben and Mia were brother and sister

I answered, as I usualy do that they were not even from the same country and that Mia came from Ireland

The little thing (about 10yo I think) Looked v serious and said

'Did you get her from a breeder in Ireland?? because there are lots of puppy farms and you have to be really careful
Did you see the mum and the dad?? when we got our dog we made sure we saw the mum and the dad and because you cannot be sure they really are the mum and dad we checked his marking and papers as well
and they might look cute but you shouldt buy from puppy farms cos that makes them breed lots and lots of new puppies'

Yeah on her giving me a lecture on puppy farms!!
I of course reasured her that I got Mia from a rescue

Aww, how sweet - if only everyone was so well educated about how and where to get a pup from

rofl, bless her. Its good that she knows what puppy farms are and what to look for in a breeder. Well more than some people do anyways. Sounds like she knows her stuff

Bless.
She sounds just like my two (except they'd probably be preaching more in the advantages of a rescue dog over buying a puppy, lol). She sounds to be much better informed than the average adult out there. Hope she continues to spread the word.
