Update on one half of the son's

Some of you will remember when I posted about my youngest son got married and we were cut out of the whole thing.

Well today out of the blue I received a phone call from him, 7 months after he stopped speaking to me.

He rang me from work, he was on duty (a Police Officer) but I think that was mainly because if things got difficult he could cut the phone call short (knowing him as I do).

He rang (he said) for two reason's 1) to build bridges, which he felt we needed to talk about.
2) Because his Gran (my Mom) is ill and he wondered if I knew (which I did).

We spoke about his Gran, unfortunately my Mother has heart and renal failure, which can not be operated on as they feel she would never make it to the end of the operation. I told him about what the Doctors have said, he is going to see her on Monday.

Then the phone call ended........we didn't touch on building bridges, but I'll wait his next call.
But it's a start.

Aw aSteph that is so good, I really have my fingers crossed you can build the bridges together. The greatest of journeys started with the smallest of steps, lets hope this is one of these journeys. Thinking of you and hugs coming your way xx

Oh hon, I'm so happy for you. Families are such difficult things to manage, as I know so well.

I'm so glad he's taken the first step.

Still a way to to go, but a very positive start.

Bless him for making the first move like that. I'm impressed.

I can also tell that you are letting him do it at his own pace which I think is a good idea.

Fingers crossed things resolve soon for you both. That would make me very happy ;o)

xx
