Dog Attack

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7876508.stm

Why oh why are some people so bloody stupid? How many times do they have to be told not to leave young children alone with dogs?

Poor dogs and poor baby.

I despair.

Hmmm, on BBC New 24 it said 3 and a half year old child, and on the link in says 3 and a half months. Think it may have been the presenters mistake by the sounds of it.

It's an alleged attack at the moment, as apparently the doctors believe the child's injuries were caused by dogs.

Very sad.

People are endlessly stupid unfortunately and will always say " we didn't think it would happen to us". Some people seem to assume that the dogs will just accept babies and children and not see this as something else they will have to work towards with their dogs and include in their training and socialisation.

Even once this has been done they still shouldn't leave dogs and children together, but people persist in wanting to see dogs and people in fur coats and not animals.

It is very sad and it shouldn't have happened, but we don't know all the details yet. I think it was a babysitter who was there at the time, so maybe someone not very clued up about the risks????????
Anyway I feel so sorry for all involved.
