Screwy Lewi.
I didn't know him well as I didn't see him often but Lewi has joined Bruno at the Bridge.
Screwy Lewi was a nightmare. He was over the top, stubborn, stupid.. amongst other problems..
But he was funny, and that was what gained him the nickname Screwy Lewi.
My fondest memory of him was running in my Nannan's house screaming "he's drowning!!" My Aunt Carole ran out and fished this little Lab x puppy out of the 2ft deep wildlife pond. She asked me what had happened. "He was sniffing a frog and it jumped in the water and then he followed"
Everyone had come out and we were howling with laughter at this soaking wet black pup, looking very sorrowful.
He ran into doors, took on my Aunt Carole's cat, who even his "brother" Bruno didn't. Bruno, a WL GSD learnt very early that this tiny kitten was not a force to be reckoned with! But Screwy Lewi, bless him, never learned.
My Aunt Christine and Uncle Philip are beside themselves. Screwy Lewi was what was left from a time when their children were at home. He has been there through the tantrums, the teenage rebellion and the grandkids. Now he is at rest. And with Bruno, at the Bridge.
Such a happy fella.
Rest peacefully Lewi.
