Major breakthrough

You might remember my posts about Bryan and his barking at other dogs while on his lead. I've just got back from a really good on lead walk where he hardly barked at all (even when he was confronted by two seperate small yappy type dogs!).

I even got him to sit while a dog was going past on the other side of the road and give him treats. He even LOOKED at the other dog, but then looked back at me waiting for more treats!

Thanks guys. I was talking to my project worker yesterday and she has the same problem with one of her dogs. She was saying it's a constant battle and something that has to be kept on top of, but I'm still feeling really positive after yesterday.

She's put a Gentle Leader in the post for our foster dog as she's started lunging a lot and I think she's taking advantage of being on a harness.

I've only joined Dogsey tonight so havn't seen your other posting. But well done! I'll try to find your earlier thread (haven't quite got the hang of it yet)to see what you've gone thorough to get this far. I have the same problem with my dog Amber and have been to a behaviourist today. I prey I'll be posting a message like yours one day.
