Radiotherapy

I've just been diagnosed with a rodent ulcer on my head and unlike the one I had removed last year they think it is too big so are planning to treat it with radiotherapy.

Anyone had rodent ulcer treated that way?

I've not had a rodent ulcer, but i've had radiotherapy.

Do you just have to have 1 session, or multiple?
Have you been told side effects?

Thanks for the reply
Haven't really got much info at all at the moment. I've to go for a biopsy on this coming Tuesday to confirm it is a rodent ulcer but doctors are pretty sure.

Once it is confirmed they will discuss options but radiotherapy seems the most likely option.

I know it can burn your skin but that's about it

Some people don't get burns - I was lucky and had no side effects at all.
I think the more sessions you have, the higher chance of side effects.

Let us know how the biopsy goes, and we're all here to chat

You've got the right attitude - not worrying is far better than sitting thinking about it and worrying all the time!

Stay up Anne, we are all around if you need to talk/yell/stamp or anything else.

It must be so frightening but they are very clever now at getting rid of things.

Reassuring dog licks from this end. (cyber not as smelly as real)
