Route Planner Recommendations

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good internet route planner which marks routes for you to walk rather than drive. I need to travel somewhere on Wednesday that involves catching a train and walking quite a distance in an area i'm unfamiliar with, but all the route planners i've seen seem to cater for people driving.

Thanks

Alison

Is there a button somewhere that I need to press for the walking route as it seems to be planning out the longest way for the route which adds a mile onto the journey!!!

On Google maps when you put in from a to b then there is a drop down thingy, by car or walking

Thanks both.

I've found the route on multimaps, although I doubt whether I can walk half a mile in 9 minutes.

There's of free walking route planner resources available on the internet including walkit, google maps and ramblers. They're good because not only do they cost nothing, you can print everything off.

Hope that helps,
Darren
