You can get those sweat band type things for humans that really work, is there anything similar for dogs? Or any herbal remedies? I bet someone will come up with something in a minute.

Try a ginger biscuit that helps settle the tummy.

Hi, i'm led to believe that bach flower remedy is very good. Also basics such as feeding your dog in the car to help them assosciate it with a good thing. Also even shorter trip eg round the block, or not even moving at all - just have the engine running.

This was some of the things suggested to me when one of my gsds was travel sick.

Maybe Tellington Touch would help - don't know anything about it though i'm afraid.

I've recommended ginger biscuits to so many people, and never had a bad report about them!

Hi Janebullies if it is true motion sickness it helps to prevent the dog from looking through the windows because looking at moving objects through a car window can make some dogs sick.
For some the answer is a covered crate, if you dog is already crate trained even better because he will going into a familiar 'safe haven'.
As the others say ginger is very good, it has been used by the Chinese for centuries to treat all forms of sickness.
You can now get ginger capsules which contain concentrated pure ginger root from health food shops and online.

Flat ginger beer is good if dog will drink it or the ginger biscuit.

Yip agree with the covered crate mini, also that some times you really need to go right back to the beginning and shorten the journey, I know 10 mins doesn't sound a lot but try even shorter, try leaving her just sitting in the car for a while, see what happens, then if shes not sick just move forward a little and let her out, little and often, hope that helps xx

Our 11yr old bcc can be travel sick, even on the shortest of trips. We resorted to not feeding her on the day of a car journey, and she would still just bring up bile.
She does seem to have settled down somewhat though over the last 8 months, and since we got our puppy in Feb, I think it has once happened once since then.
