Whats your ethnic heritage?

Recently my parents were doing our family tree and found out we had some ancestors from Ireland which I found interesting. Is their anything interesting in your family tree? Possibly a famous ancestor? What is your ethnicity from both your mother and fathers side?

My father is Irish and English
My mother is German

Romany Gypsy on my fathers side
White British on my mothers side.

Romany Gypsy on my mums side and Scottish Italian on my dads

My mum's family is Welsh, my father's English. Further back I believe it's French Huguenot on both sides.

On one side I can go back to the 17thc on one side Scottish and 18thc on my maternal side Scottish?Northumberland

Mine are all over the place, my maternal grandmother was born in Alderney (Channel Isles) and go back to french ancestry, my grandfather's side came from Oxford, although he was born in Aldershot, we also had Suffolk, Yorkshire and Somerset on that side. My fathers side were mostly Londoners but my grandmother came from Lincolnshire.

Mine is English and Irish.

*I don't mind saying so but I have been on forums where this kind of question causes offence. Why do you feel the need to know?

Irish on my dads side of the family im not sure how far back our family goes on his side but mum says their is french and Irish on hr side.

On my fathers side they originated from Bromsgrove and surrounding areas, being mainly all farmers with land.
My Mother's side are from Lancashire however on her Mothers second marriage to a Welsh miner the later of her family were Welsh born and bred, there are alot of skeletons in the cupboard on my Mothers side.....so we found out after spending years doing our family tree. There were to our knowledge 23 of them...........however later it was discovered that her Father (my grandad) lead a couple of double lives and another double figured half siblings came to light

Oh - this could get confusing, my heritage on my Dad's side (but obviously watered down because I don't have their skin tone) is Arcadian red Indian and for good measure throw in some French nobility or high class folk (French revolution - French married into Indian tribes when they fled to Canada - or so I was told).

Then on my Mum's side we have some Welsh roots.. I think thats where my pale skin comes from - thanks Mum
