Shocked!!!!

Well as some of you may know, Skye has been pretty poorly for some time.
Took her for her check up this evening. Her lump is forming a massive head. The vet squeezed it and loads of gunk came out.
Her temperature is still high, but hopefully the anti's will bring it down.
She's got to be booked in to a specialist urgently to have a MRI scan. I've been advised London is the nearest
The vets now think she has a grass seed migrating round her body trying to get out. Hence the fact why she keeps getting bad infections starting in her spine (this was a few weeks ago when i first posted her problem) and now in her muscle. The only way they can find it is by a MRI scan. If they do find it she will be operated on to get it out. If not it will keep traveling causing infection, eventually causing septicemia resulting in death.
So thats the story so far. I should hopefully hear from the vet in the morning, if not it will be monday.
Fingers crossed she will remain some what comfortable until the problem has been rectified.
The vet said it is a very painful problem
I think i can see a little light at the end of the tunnel!!!!

Aagh, that sounds painful!
But knowing what it is can be the first stage of sorting problems like this, all being well!

Hope all goes well, this can be very unpleasant for the dog, I had a friend with a Goldie who had the same problem. He was quite poorly but did get better. Try to stay positive.

Thanks guys!!!
Amazing how a grass seed can cause so much trouble!!!
Its just a race against time. They've got to find it before it moves into her internal organs.
I have every faith in my vets.
