smokers beware,

I just picked up my normal brand of ciggys today... and found the most horrid photo on the back.. of a man with a huge tumour on his neck.. I smoke lambert and butler.. has anyone else noticed it on another brand..

Tell you this much.. its put me off a bit I have to say

not seen any yet, but heard it was coming.

I can just see metal ciggy cases making a come back so people put their ciggies in it and throw out the box with the picture straight away.

I heard a while back they were putting gruesome images to replace the normal 'Smoking Kills' e.t.c. (which apparently wasn't having the desired affect) and will be on all brands.

Stuff like this just makes me cross. If everyone gave up smoking, the Government would lose millions - far more than smokers take up via the NHS.

I wish everyone would give up, just to teach them a lesson!

that is definetly gross - but its kinda the point isnt it - supposed to be shocking and perhaps make you think twice.

Thing is I still think people who smoke KNOW that there is health risks, and still do it, so showing them a picture of something isnt necessarily going to change anything as i think there is a little "it wont happen to me attitude" to the whole thing. Nobody can argue that its good for you but thats entirely up to the smoker if they continue to do it.

next they will have obese heart and artery piccies on bags of crisps and shrivelled up livers on booze.

I think it may put people off starting, lets face it you pick up a pack with that on it... your gona think.. sod that for a joke, it has made me think.. maybe my new year res should be pack smoking in again
