Please help!

I have just rung my vets expecting to get an emergency number, but nothing - no answer!

Petto came in from the garden and was sick - then went really hyper - rubbing his nose on things, wouldn't keep still, heart racing, panting! I have rung a friend who is trying to find a number for an emergeny vet for me, I'm really worried - I dont know what to do.

Can anyone meantime give me any advise please?

Do you think I should give him a piriton tablet, I feel totally useless! He's going nuts - his heart is going 10 to the dozen. Dam vets - I'm gonnal kill someone tomorow!

I don't think piriton will do him any harm ( hope someone can clarify that )
If a sting - diluted sodium carbonate, antihistermine cream ???

Piriton should do no harm about 1 per 8 kg of dog weight.
Ring another vet

Can you check his face/mouth./throat, see if he has eaten anything or if there are any sting marks, not sure if it would be that obvious but if he is behaving so bad i would have thought a sting or bite would swell. Check mouth and face if you can. Hope you get it sorted and its all fine

antihistamine (piriton) could stop air ways blocking if he reacts to a bite or sting.Better to take that than use a cream as the reaction could be internal for an external sting. I would get vet help too though( I know you are trying)
