Hiya Rip, How are you doing mate? The Smokey Mountains are in Eastern Tennesse and they are absolutely beautiful, abounding in wildlife...including black bears, bob cat, elk and just about everything else. I can thouroughly recommend them (preferably without a toddler in tow though....). Ideal if you love to horse ride through the forrests as the scenery is stunning. Everyone we met there were genuinely warm and friendly too!

Take care XX

Hi, I'm good thanks! Ooh Tennesse sounds nice, only ever been to NY State but Sis might be moving to Arizona (sp?) so who knows! The way nursing's going at the minute I might have to move out there myself just to find work!

Glad you had a nice time x

Hi, Whereabouts in Tennesse have you been too? There was a guy on the plane that worked in Knoxville and commutes from Manchester????? Has much more stamina than me!

Lovely pictures Kath, little Megan looks like she had a whale of a time meeting all those animals I love the Zonkey picture - I didn't realise donkeys and zebras could actually produce off-spring. Glad you had a lovely time.

that first veiw of the Smoky Mountains looks stunning. Glad you enjoyed it, my friends are doing Tennessee in September this year and I am sure she mentioned something about the Smokies.

Megan looked like she was enjoying herself, isn't it amazing how most kids like animals.

They are truly amazing - your friends will love them. Loads more pics if anyone wants them....although I must admit most feature animals (+Megan usually) but we do have some just of the scenery.

No I didn't know about the Donkey/Zebra thing but I suppose when you think about it Americans crossed Donkey's with horses to produce the Mule. I think Megan takes after me...she would be content to spend her entire life with animals around her.
