felt so sad for this poor dog

saw a ad in our local supermarket. wanted a home for thie 14 yr old border collie cross. they are in a flat with no garden. but we had ben in a flat and ok had to take him out more often. but i managed so do others,
but that poor dog 14 yrs old and having to be re-homed. felt so sad for it.
cant have it ourself. got ben. and 2 cats, and our place is small enough.
hope the poor dog finds a loving home.

oh thats so sad, im betting its got more to do with his age than it has to do with living in a flat, poor old dog.

What a shame. I bet there is some other reason like he has become incontinent poor dog. I could not do this to my dog under any circumstances. It's like getting rid of your Grandad because he's a bit of a nuisance.

Yes, I agree with you. Poor thing. I wonder what will happen to it? I know we don't know the circumstances but how could they let the poor thing go at that age.

Oh dear, we ahve just rescued a 14 year old cocker, pretty much the same circumstances and he is terribly sad.
Would it be possible to get more details, i might know a rescue that could take him, it seems so so sad.

Oh, bless you for taking on the poor cocker. I am sure he wont be sad for much longer when you have made him feel secure. Poor boy.

i just dont understand how anyone can do this, tbh if it comes to it, I know it sounds terrible, but if you really cannot care for your dog and they are old, I think its kinder to PTS than to pass them on to someone else and confuse the poor dog.especially if its lived 14yrs in the same house

There is just no way I would ever do this to my dog. ever.
We had a case with rescue and I could barely contain my contempt for the owner asking for the dog to be rehomed.
