These are my mountains

These are my mountains
Bealach and Beinn
Dark brooding lochan
And remote silent glen

These are my mountains
Cairn and Crag
Mist shrouded corrie
And black peat hag

These are my mountains
Meall and Mhor
Where calving hinds bellow
And rutting stags roar

These are my mountains
Fine weather and foul
Shimmering heat haze
And wild winds howl

These are my mountains
Burn and brae
Aye these are my mountains
And here I will stay

A wee poem the oh wrote just the other week,he's kept a journal for many many years his scribblings as he calls them ,
How things have changed season by season year by year
I'm ashamed to say I've not taken more of an interest
Guess I've got a lot of reading to do
Just thought I'd share this one ,as I've tramped these mountains many a time ,

He sure has got a talent with his poems there Norma, he should send them off to a publisher methinks, and yes, open your eyes to them, you're living with a poet and you didn't even know it .
