split seasons

ok folks can anyone enlighten me ????? one of my girls had a 2 day light sort of season 5 weeks ago .... since then she has been a real pain ...sort of up and down and walking on a lead night mare ...crying when i am out off the room etc...I was getting to the point of getting really cross with her bad behavior...NOW she has come into full season !!!!!!!!!!!!!! quite heavy and this would explain her hormoanal ups and downs of recent weeks ..I have never had a bitch with a split season before and really don't know why this happens ..can anyone shed any light on this for me .....

I've had this, with Lucy. She's done it about 3 times so far, and is usually a right cow!!

I don't exactly know why they do it though, it may be something with the dog posponing the season for some reason, or maybe stress pospones the season.

Sorry I couldn't help

lol @ Lel.... well i had to do a bit of research and what i found kinda makes sense........... Bitches who live together normally come in at the same time .....2 of the girls came in then Sophie followed a few days later...now she is quite a dominent bitch and in the wild would be an alpha bitchwhen fully mature but because she is younger then the 2 that were in she would not be a choice for males in the wild.....so she prolonged her season until they were out !!!!... now if ya think about it if she were a wild dog in a pack SHE would now be ready whilst the other girls are out or already been caught ..if she had stayed in season with them she would not have been mated

bit complex i know but makes good sense ...
