Injections
Hey folks, just a quick question if I may?
I pick my pup up on sunday. He'll be just under 8 weeks old. He had his first injection at around six weeks of age. The idea being the earlier we got them started, the earlier he could be out for socialisation and training etc.
I always thought that the second injection mostly came a week or two after the first. Then it was a week or two again before pup was 'safe' to go out.
My vet came into the shop where I work and I told her that my pup had already had his first, so I'd get her to give him his second when I got him, which is over a week since his first injection.
Now, whether she missunderstood or something but she said that he couldnt have his second jab until he was 10-12 weeks old, irrespective of when he had his first.
So can anyone shed some light on this please?
Obviously I'll be carrying him out with me anyway, but I'd like to get him out 'properly' as soon as.
Thankies
