ooh, what's the competition? I grow them every year.

Not starting doing any seeds for a few more weeks though as I usually do them too soon and then the cold gets them

Lol there was a bit of light hearted banter last year as we posted pics of our sweet peas. Just a bit of fun

You will have to join in this year but look out for that Tillymint, Rubster and Suecurrie

I will do. Will have to search for the old thread to see what the competition is!

We have a competition with sunflowers amongst family to see who can grow the biggest. We've done pretty well but we have a secret weapon - manure! lol

ha ha yes I'm sure you cheated last year by letting Pepsi wee on yours

It's a fierce competition here was my last year attempt which resulted in my lovely arch effect.

This year I have some red ones (still in the packet though!!)

Very nice! I tried to find some photos of my sweet peas - not last year as they were a bit of a disaster, but the year before but couldn't find any. I did find these though:

which was a year after we moved in here. I was pretty pleased with it all as it was just basically mud when we moved here. Last year was a disaster as we had so much rain!

My sweet peas ALWAYS fail. I thought they were the easiest flowers to grow!!

I have grown begonias, veggies, and last year managed 4 pots of beautiful freesia. They smelt absolutely gorgeous!!

But my sweet peas always fail.

Any tips??

Garden is on the backburner for this year - if the lawn gets cut once the baby arrives it'll be a miracle! Therefore no sweet peas for me.
