If I were you I would phone my vet and get his/her advice right now.

I would also phone your vet, as something the size of a golfball is likely going to cause problems.

I would ring your vet immediately. I would imagine that your dog may require surgery

I would also be on the phone to the vet this evening. I would not want to wait to get any advice until the morning.
Hope it all turns out OK for you.

Father in law's dog (Old English Sheepdog) swallowed a golf ball and had to have surgery...Please call your vet now- just in case. I doubt he'd be able to pass something that size. Good luck!

i would certainly follow the advice already given - my vet had a large sweet jar full the things he had removed from dogs, many of them Labradors, stomachs. There was quite a lot of golf balls in that jar as I recall - i fear your dog may require surgery.

Please keep us posted as to how your lab gets on.

Regards - Karen

Definitely see your vet now. It's likely to cause a bowel obstruction as it's too large to pass. He needs to go now before he gets ill. I don't want to alarm you but I don't want your dog to be sick either.
Best of luck to you. Let us know how you get on. XX

Hi!
Dont waste time. Get your dog to the vet right now. A foreign body such as a golf ball will not necessarily pass naturally through the gut and may rupture the bowel. If it gets lodged it will cause necrosis and the outcome may be dire.
