Homing Requirements: Trevor needs an understanding family to support him as he explores life and acquires skills. He could live with a confident other dog or as an only dog. Not for live in very young children as his instincts currently would be to be scared of them. Visitors should be counselled to meet Trevor calmly and win his trust with a treat.
His Story: Trevor was bought as a pup to keep a disabled lady company. He lived a very sheltered life without walks and socialisation generally. A man heard he was losing his home and bought Trevor home. He was in with 4 other dogs and a very young child and Trevor didn't have any skills to draw upon. He needs a slow build approach. Trevor is now neutered and being vax'd. Currently in kennels in Gatwick, West Sussex.
Advert: Trevor is a Treasure! He can get scared with the scope of life. He mixes well with dogs and could live with another dog/dogs. Trevor was an only dog and needs guidance to share and be supported with positive reinforcement. Trevor is on the foothills of Everest. Trevor needs a companionship home making minimal demands on him, offering him opportunities to succeed and giving feedback when he pleases.
Trevor is a 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier X Whippet we feel. He goes with the flow given clear reassurance and direction to adapt and edges his way into new settings, demands or activities. Trevor needs help and and at a slow pace he will develop new skills and please his owners. He has provide that he learns quickly. Trevor is a delightful dog who is very, very easy to love!
Please note that this dog is coming into boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
